Purses, Coasters, and Wallets Oh My!

Well I see it's been way too long since I posted.  I have been busy.  Easy Street is done and quilted.
Have to make a label and a sleeve as this baby is going in our guild's quilt show in March.
We have a boutique at our quilt show with handmade items donated by our crafty guild members.
I have been busy making coasters ( they are the kind you can put your wine glass in or use as a regular coaster) and little wallets.  I am also in charge of planning member/teacher classes.  In September we are teaching the Bailey Island Hobo Bag by Two Aunties.  I made one at our last quilt retreat so I could assist the teacher.  I am making another, it was fast and fun to make.  The purse uses 2 1/2" strips and has four nice pockets inside.  Check out the pattern.  Promise again to post Easy Street, want to take some good pictures of it outside in the grass against my garden.  Still trying to figure out what to name it, I want something special.  Off to work on a Thanksgiving and Christmas project.  Happy Sewing!!

Time just gets away

It's been awhile since I posted anything, but I have been busy.
Easy Street is done and I will post a picture soon.  The quilting on it made all the difference in the world.  I have just finished a UFO, got to add the back, quilt, and bind, but the top is done.
Been working on giving classes at our guild Member/Teacher project and it's been taking up sone of my quilting time, but we had a class yesterday teaching Bonnie Hunter's Scrappy Trips quilt from her website Quiltville.com.  The blocks are fun, fast, and easy.  All the attendees seem to enjoy the whole process.  Pictures of works in progress to come soon.  Have so many UFO's to finish and a few smaller items I've been working on.  Making coasters with a secret pocket for your wine glasses to donate to our boutique at our Quilt Show next year.  Finished my circle table runner for my table which you can see the the picture below.  We also had kids quilt camp, and the flowers were given to me by my beginner quilter this year as a Thank you.  Enjoy your summer.

Easy Street - ready to put together

Well all the pieces are completed and I put it on the floor to see how it looks.
I think it looks better all together than it did in all its parts.  I am planning the fabric to use for
borders, then need to find the perfect backing.  Will get this put together soon, meanwhile it
will decorate the floor in my living room.

Easy Street Part 6, 7, and 8 (The Reveal)

Trying to catch up on posting about Easy Street.  It's been such a whirlwind.  Bonnie Hunter gave us Part 6 on Friday the 28th of December, then Part 6 on New Years Eve, and the final revel on New Years Day.  I am ready to put all the parts together and sew.  Can't wait to see the top done, so excited the final version (Bonnie's) looks much better than I ever expected.  I am enjoying seeing the same quilt in different colorways.  Got to see one in cheddar, brown, and green that looked lucious.  This mystery was so much fun, I went and printed a previous one and have it on my list to do soon.
Clue 6- 128 double bricks and 19 5 1/2" squares cut in 4

Part 7 - combining geese from Part 2 and rectangles from Part 2 to make 64 bricks

Part 7 - making 4 of these for the corners

Part 7 - making 12 of these
Part 8 - needed 16 3 1/2" square for Block A

Part 8 - Block B need 9 of these

Part 8 - Block A need 16 of these.

Your going to have to wait to see it finished, can't wait!!
